Panarcadian Association 'O Kolokotronis'

The Panarcadian Association of Melbourne and Victoria “ο Kolokotronis” was established in 1959, by a group of people who arrived in Melbourne from Arcadia, a region in the Peloponnese, during the early fifties. The Association was registered under the Companies Act in the state of Victoria, in 1979.

It bears the name Kolokotronis, after the hero of the 1821 War of Independence, and eventual liberator of Greece, Theodoros Kolokotronis.

The Association aims at improving, promoting and expanding the educational, philanthropic, social, cultural, patriotic and spiritual interests of its members in order to extend good will and enhance harmonious living within the larger Australian Community.
