Arts and Industry

Antipodes Festival Melbourne is the major Australian Greeks arts and cultural festival in Australia and is one of the largest Greek Festivals of the Greek diaspora. We have the largest arts and cultural program of any event in the Diaspora and organise the largest annual Greek Film Festival outside of Greece.

The Arts and Cultural Festival provides a range of pathways and opportunities by which Australian Greek arts and creative practitioners at various points of the career development can explore differing aspects of their practice. The program also provides arts and creative practitioners with the opportunity to present their work to audiences beyond those to which they may traditionally have accessed. The Festival has also served as a means by which arts and creative practitioners, particularly early career practitioners, make the transition into mainstream performance and exhibition pathways.
